Technical Manager

N-Drip™ is on a mission to save water resources while supporting agriculture around the world. Our disruptive solutions enable sustainable farming and an efficient water-energy-food cycle.

Already established in the Middle East, USA, and Africa, the company continues to expand and roll out its product further in Australia. Focused on the sale of our unique irrigation system, we aim to lead the change in agriculture in this market.

We are looking for a new member to join our Australia-based team (in QLD and NSW) full time.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Irrigation system design (IRRICAD or similar) – ensuring the best and most efficient designs are delivered on every project.
  • System components – developing, testing and procuring new and existing system components.
  • System installations – scheduling and rostering installation teams and equipment for various projects.
  • Training of N-Drip irrigation technicians, distributors, and installation sub-contractor employees.
  • Ongoing maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of existing systems.
  • Keeping records and ensuring tasks are completed to meet deadlines.
  • Ensuring that safety standards are met and PPE is used.
  • Completing casual labour staff inductions.
  • Supervising labour staff, and ensuring that their work environment is safe and hazard free.

Skills and qualifications

  • Cert III in irrigation or relevant trade qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a similar role/ industry.
  • Experience with drip irrigation installations – required.
  • Experience in topographic data collection (land survey) and controlled traffic (GPS-guided equipment).
  • Strong product knowledge, with demonstrated experience in pump maintenance.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Current MR licence – an advantage.

  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Work autonomously, with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Be able to troubleshoot and solve issues on site.

Additional notes:

  • This role entails business travel Australia-wide.
  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Relocation is a possibility.
